Beech.
Beech (Fagus L.) - a type of tree from the beech family, comprising 9-10 species. They occur mainly in the temperate zone in the northern hemisphere. In Poland, only common beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) occurs in its natural state. A few forein species and numerous ornamental varieties of beech are also cultivated. Beech wood is obtained from, among others, common beech found in Europe and western Asia; eastern beech found in south-eastern Europe and western Asia and large-leaved beech found in eastern areas of North America (from southern Canada through the United States to northern Mexico). The colour of beech wood is light, pinkish or yellowish or reddish violet. Beech wood has been used in many technical products in history, among them more loaded parts of horse-drawn carriages (spokes and wheels, slack - axle reinforcement or drawbar and drawbar deposits), coach shock absorbers, gears and pulleys (especially for mill and agricultural machines), boatbuilding parts (keels and ship superstructures, sailing oars), plough components, trusses and harrow teeth, woodworking machine components, carpentry and joinery table work boards for manual woodworking. Currently, it is widely used in the furniture industry (frames of upholstered furniture, parts of bent furniture), it is also the basic component of birch-beech plywood, which is used in the automotive industry and modeling. Beech wood is also suitable for parquets, stairs, thresholds and facings. It is also used in earth, water and high construction (structures, formwork, supports) and mining. It is used to produce boxes, barrels, tools, elements of machines and sports equipment, rifle butts, musical instruments (e.g. drums), toys and various everyday objects. Beech seeds are used to produce oil.
Quality and safety.
All Bewood toy elements are carefully made of first quality, sulphur-free beechwood, are free of preservatives and have rounded edges and are therefore suitable for our youngest. Only PZHiZ certified eco-friendly paints for toys from 12 months of age are used to colour the wood. All wooden toys also have the CE marking, which means that they meet the requirements of the so-called "New Approach" directives of the European Union (EU).
